Great Manchester Cycle Sunday 29th June, 2014
Another chance to take part in this fantastic cycling event around the streets of Manchester.
The Great Manchester Cycle, taking place Sunday 29 June 2014, is a unique urban based mass participation cycle event.
The event offers 3 different distances: 13 miles, 26 miles and 52 miles for cyclists of all abilities, using a 13 mile City based circuit within Manchester and the neighbouring borough of Trafford which is completely closed to all other vehicles. The start, lapping point and finish are located at the Etihad Campus, which will also host the event village with cycle industry exhibitors, entertainment and food concessions.
We will support you through your challenge and encourage you as you get closer to the big day. We can provide you with a poster and sponsor form, advise you on how to get the most out of your fundraising and if you like we can also give you one of our fabulous Barnabus t-shirts. When it comes to fundraising we ask that you raise a minimum of £100. The money you raise will provide a lifeline to people caught in the devastating trap of poverty and homelessness. We know you will raise as much as you can and we’re so thankful to you because we couldn’t carry on our work without the help of supporters like you.
Last year a G.P. who used to volunteer with Barnabus when we had our Double Decker Bus took up a personal challenge and completed the 26 mile city centre bike ride in just over 1hr and 46 minutes. Thank you Helen for raising an awesome £791
