How You Can Help

Fundraising and Sponsored Events

Join us and have some fun at one of our organised events or fundraisers (highlighted to go straight to events). Or come up with your own fundraising idea; it could be something you would like to do on your own, with a group of friends or colleagues.
Whatever you choose, the money you raise will provide a lifeline to people caught in the devastating trap of poverty and homelessness. Thank you for wanting to find out more and help us. We know we couldn’t carry on our work without the help of supporters like you.

You could get sponsored to swim, cycle, take part in a parachute jump, climb a mountain, grow a moustache or even shave your head. Consider organising an event: fun day, band night, sporting challenge, fashion or drama event, even a themed evening or meal - the only limit is your imagination!

We’ve had people running Manchester and Paris marathons or cycling from Land’s end to John O’ Groats. Staff from one of our supporting companies dressed up as Smurfs and completed Olympic Style Challenges! Another company sponsored Directors to be “breakfast fairies” or “souper troupers”; serving food at our drop-in. An elderly lady in her mid eighties raised money by playing an organ marathon for 14 hours! Schools and children’s groups have sold homemade cakes and washed cars. And Sainsbury’s in Manchester held a “Summer themed Beach Day” the staff had a lot of fun collecting donations in-store and raising funds through a fabulous raffle.
