Beacon Open Evening Thursday 25th November

A very big thank you to everyone who came along to our open evening, it was such a special night and we were so encouraged by your comments and obvious compassion for our work.

There were opportunities to meet and chat with some of the Barnabus team, volunteers and also friends who benefit from the various sessions and activities at our drop-in and collaborative projects. Staff were on hand to answer questions and gave visitors the chance to see our health and wellbeing suite and other facilities.

We were very proud to showcase some of our friend's artwork, crafts, poems, short stories and other work produced in our Arts and Crafts and Maths and English classes.

A DVD was played during the evening which included personal stories and first hand experiences from some of our friends. We were also able to display a moving portfolio of photography. Our thanks and gratitude goes to Steve of Link Video Production for the DVD and also to Scott Kershaw for our folio of Photography and of course to all our friends who were willing to share such a private insight into their lives.

We're also very thankful to Ready Steady Store who continue to support us and blessed us on this occasion by providing a wonderful buffet, enjoyed by everyone that attended. And, thanks to your generosity, our honesty box and gifts raised 92 on the night.

Thank you again to all that came, we hope you enjoyed your visit and were able to leave with a greater insight into our work and a sense of how much we value and need your ongoing support. If you would like to come along to our next open evening and would like to be kept up to date with other news and events please email us with your details or give us a call on 0161 237 3223.
