How You Can Help

Urban Harvest Appeal

Urban Harvest Appeal

Autumn and Winter can be a particularly life threatening and depressing time of year for anyone who has to sleep rough on the Streets. It’s also sadly, our busiest time. Our first priority on a daily basis is keeping people fed, warm and as dry and safe as possible. Only then can we look at other ways to improve their circumstances.

Please help by donating the following items in support of our Appeal or hold a fundraising event to raise awareness of homelessness issues and vital funds; a sponsored sleep-out or a Barnabus Big Brew are a great fit for our Urban Appeal, especially if you swap tea and cake for soup and sandwiches or pies!

Food: tinned food; beans, soups, corned beef, tuna, curries and stews, sausages, vegetables,
spaghetti etc. / biscuits, cakes, chocolate, crisps / jam, marmalade, peanut butter / pasta, pot noodles, rice, cuppa soups / long life milk, tea, coffee, sugar / fruit juice, cordial / fresh fruit and vegetables

Men’s and Women’s clothing: jeans, joggers, combats / jumpers, fleeces, sweatshirts, t-shirts / shoes, boots, trainers / coats, anoraks, jackets / gloves, scarves / socks, boxers (small and medium)

Other essentials: bin bags, washing up liquid / plastic cutlery, insulated foam cups / shower gel, shampoo /
shaving foam, disposable razors / deodorant (roll-ons only) / sleeping bags, blankets

Monatory Donations: to help towards heating or food costs for our Drop-in and Support Offices. We can accept cheques made payable to Barnabus or click on the Donate Now button at the top of this page, to pay securely online. (Please mention that you want to give towards heating or food costs so that we can allocate gifts accordingly).

Thank you for caring about the homeless. We can receive your donations at our office: 61 Bloom Street, Manchester M1 3LY, from Monday - Friday between 10am - 3pm. Alternatively, if you have a large number of items (more than a car) or you are unable to drop off during office hours, please call Yvonne on; 0161 237 3223 or emailadmin@barnabusmanchester.co.uk to organise collection.

Please download a PDF poster of this appeal.
